Isis: The Origins of Violence (Channel 4 - 9pm)
Should be an interesting watch.

Tom Holland apparently blames the French (and Napoleon in particular) for their origination and brutality).

Muslims aren't to blame, in the same way that the majority of Scientologists aren't to blame for the abuses perpetrated within their 'church' and the same way that most Christians weren't to blame for the crusades.

The simple truth is that all organised religions are bullshit and prone to idiots twisting it to their own ends, and as a species we ought to have evolved beyond this imaginary friend bollocks many centuries ago.

Most Muslims hate IS. Imagine if people were commiting violent acts in the name of West Ham, you'd despise them even more than most because they are making you look bad. Unfortunately it's always the minority of idiots that get the headlines.

That fact that anyone in the media can describe this as controversial shows how far they be gone to suppress the truth about Islamic terrorism and it's clear and obvious ROOTS in Islamic scripture.

'I was all outraged before dozing off as it all got a bit boring. Muslims are like anyone that worships a god. Deluded...

They may well be deluded, but they are NOT like modern-day Christians, Jews, Hindus or Buddhists.

The origins of Islamic violence are in the Koran and hadiths for all to see. The words exhorting violence are attributed to a character called Mohamed who, if you believe the stories, was a violent and psychopathic, misogynist and paedophile who is purported to have heard the Angel Gabriel. Of course it is far more likely that this character and his deeds are mostly or even completely made up by the real people who wrote the books between 150 to 200 years after his death. HTH

If it's C4 there will defiantly be one particular thing that they won't blame
